ISS-Reshetnev at MAKS -2011
Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems is taking part in the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2011 on 16-21 August, in Zhukovsky, Moscow.
The Reshetnev Company is exhibiting at the joint stand of ROSCOSMOS (Russian Space Agency) where the Siberian satellite manufacturer is demonstrating its latest achievements and projects. ISS-Reshetnev’s guests and visitors can see models of the advanced Glonass-K navigation satellite, the Loutch-5A data relay spacecraft and the AMOS-5 telecommunications satellite being built by ISS-Reshetnev for the Israeli satellite operator Space Communication Ltd.
The heart of the company’s exposition is the mock-up of Cosmos-CX, ISS-Reshetnev’s first earth remote sensing satellite designed to monitor agricultural lands over the whole Russian territory as well as provide crop yield forecasting and assessment. Cosmos-CX will also enable forecasts of natural phenomenon that might cause damage to the national agricultural complex. The satellite is currently under construction by the Reshetnev Company for the RF Ministry of Agriculture.
Within the framework of the MAKS-2011 Aviation and Space Salon ISS-Reshetnev’s delegation headed by Nikolay Testoyedov, general designer and director general, will have a number of business meetings with their Russian and foreign partners.
