Third Glonass-M delivered to Baikonur

The last of the three Glonass-M navigation spacecraft intended for cluster 41 was delivered to Baikonur on November 27, 2009 by the JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems”.

The satellite will be launched in conjunction with another two Glonass-M spacecraft in cluster 41. The first two satellites were delivered to the spaceport on 17 and 23 November and are currently in preparation for launch.

In accordance with the GLONASS Global Navigation System federal program, the JSC “ISS” designs, develops and manufactures Glonass-M spacecraft to replenish and modernize the national fleet of navigation satellites. At present the ISS-Reshetnev is creating the next-generation Glonass-K spacecraft.
