Programs and projects
Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems takes part in the country’s top-priority state programs aimed at the development of the national orbital fleet: the Federal Space Program (years 2006-2015), the Federal Target Program “Maintenance, development and utilization of the GLONASS system” (years 2012-2020) and the State Armaments Program.
Within the framework of the Federal Space Program ISS-Reshetnev manufactures spacecraft for social and economic needs. The company is the prime contractor for a number of highly important projects: telecommunications satellites Express-AM5, Express-AM6, Express-AT1, Express-AT2, and Express-AM8, data-relay spacecraft Loutch-5A, Loutch-5B, and Loutch-5V, satellites Yamal-300K and Yamal-401, communications spacecraft Gonets-M and Gonets-M1, a small student satellite MiR.
The Federal Target Program “Maintenance, development and utilization of the GLONASS system” is intended to further develop and facilitate effective use of the Global Navigation Satellite System by implementing leading-edge satellite navigation solutions in the interest of social and economic development of Russia as well as national security. Being prime contractor responsible for the system’s space-based complex, ISS-Reshetnev designs and builds advanced navigation spacecraft. At present the company manufactures modern Glonass-M satellites and next-generation Glonass-K spacecraft.
ISS-Reshetnev successfully participates in domestic and international competitive tenders for the development and construction of telecommunications satellites. Under its commercial projects the company is currently building the KazSat-3 spacecraft ordered by the Republican Center of Space Communication (Kazakhstan) and the Lybid satellite for the State Space Agency of Ukraine (Ukrkosmos). In 2011 ISS-Reshetnev completed and launched the AMOS-5 spacecraft developed for the Israeli company SPACE-COMMUNICATION LTD.
