TELKOM-3 payload delivered to ISS-Reshetnev
ISS-Reshetnev has been supplied with a payload for the TELKOM-3 telecommunications satellite currently in production at ISS-Reshetnev’s manufacturing facility in Zheleznogorsk, Siberia.
According to the terms of the contract, the TELKOM-3 payload (satellite repeater and antennas) was manufactured by Thales Alenia Space. Representatives of the French company have arrived at ISS-Reshetnev to jointly conduct the acceptance test of the equipment. Thus far, the Russian-French team has completed a visual inspection and taken transportation sensor data. At the next stage the repeater and antennas will be subjected to a series of electrical tests. Upon completion of the test campaign, ISS-Reshetnev will integrate the payload module with the satellite platform.
The TELKOM-3 telecommunications satellite is being built by ISS-Reshetnev for the Indonesian satellite operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. It is based on ISS-Reshetnev’s unpressurized medium-class Express-1000H satellite platform. The satellite will accommodate 42 transponders in the C- and Ku-bands and provide communications and broadcasting services to South-East Asia, Indonesia and Indochina.
