MAKS-2015: summing up results
Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems showcased its recent developments in the field of communications and navigation at the XII International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2015. The exhibition took place in Zhukovskiy on August 25-30.
The exhibition itself and particularly the joint exposition of Roscosmos companies saw huge turnout from the very first day. The opening day of the show was marked by the visit of Russia’s president Vladimir Putin – he was taken on a tour round the Roscosmos’ exposition and showed present‑day developments and technologies of the Reshetnev Company, its current projects. Among them was the low‑orbit system Gonets. This multifunctional personal communications system is intended to provide communications and data transmission services in the “e-mail” format. The core of the system is formed by Gonets‑M satellites which are designed and built by ISS‑Reshetnev.
ISS-Reshetnev delegation, headed by Nikolay Testoyedov, Director General, had a busy schedule at MAKS‑2015. The company representatives held a series of talks with both Russian and foreign colleagues, potential customers and suppliers. ISS‑Reshetnev representatives met with the company’s long‑standing partner – European firm Thales Alenia Space, French software developer Dassault Systemes, European company Airbus Defence and Space.
Within the framework of MAKS‑2015 Nikolay Testoyedov also gave an interview to mass media reporters, talking about the projects currently underway at ISS‑Reshetnev Company, its future contracts and development strategy for the coming years.
