French Ambassador to visit ISS-Reshetnev
On November 2, 2018 ISS-Reshetnev Company is going to welcome French delegates led by Sylvie-Agnès Bermann, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Russia.
Sylvie Bermann and the French delegates will visit ISS-Reshetnev facilities as part of their work trip to the Krasnoyarsk region.
Nikolay Testoyedov, general director of ISS-Reshetnev, will present to Sylvie Bermann ISS-Reshetnev’s experience of cooperating with leading space companies of France. Extending back more than 25 years, these business ties have yielded many positive results to date, including more than 20 joint satellites built for Russian and foreign customers.
ISS-Reshetnev representatives together with specialists from French aerospace companies will have a meeting to discuss plans for further cooperation and future joint satellite construction projects.
As part of their visit to ISS-Reshetnev, the French delegates are also going to have a look at the company’s new Assembly, Integration and Test facility, built in accordance with the latest and most advanced space industry trends in satellite construction and testing. The biggest part of the new state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to clean zones and a unique anechoic chamber – larger than any other available at all Russian companies of the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation.
The beginning of cooperation between ISS-Reshetnev and French space companies was launched in 1990s with a SESAT satellite project that was intended to be built for the international satellite operator EUTELSAT. It was the first time ISS-Reshetnev Company subcontracted work on satellite payload to a French company – Thales Alenia Space (previously named Alcatel Espace). Since that time the two companies have been cooperating closely, with ISS-Reshetnev Company expanding cooperation with other French aerospace companies as well.
