ISS-Reshetnev engineers receive international recognition from the APEC
By the resolution of the international committee ISS-Reshetnev team members will be included into the APEC Engineering Register.
The international accreditation of engineering qualifications was a debut event in Russia, a challenge for ISS-Reshetnev’s team members, graduates of Tomsk Polytechnic University, Siberian Federal University and Siberian Aerospace University. For admission to the program, candidates were required to have had seven years practical experience since graduation and to have spent at least two years in responsible charge of significant engineering work.
ISS-Reshetnev’s engineers were examined in May, 2010. The Committee assessed the level of their theoretical knowledge and practical competency as well as decision-making skills and the ability to manage projects.
The final assessment statements were approved at the APEC Engineer Coordinating Committee meeting in Canada. As a result, 21 ISS-Reshetnev specialists were recognized as professional engineers.
The successful accreditation of the Reshetnev team members is another illustrative example of the high-level qualification and expertise of the Siberian satellite manufacturers.
