Airspace Show “ILA - 2008”: summary of the JSC “ISS” participation
From , the JSC “Information Satellite Systems” Reshetnev Company” took part in the International Airspace Show “ILA - 2008” in Berlin. Nikolay Testoyedov, the General Designer and General Director of the JSC “ISS”, was the head of delegation.
“ILA” is the first-rate exhibition in the world where the leading companies of aircraft and rocket-space industries present their achievements and recent developments. This year more than 1127 exhibitors from 37 countries took part in the exhibition. The range and the meaning of the Airshow define the fact that the Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Markel opened it. Having visited the Russian exposition that included 12 leading enterprises of space industry (including the JSC “ISS”), she noted the importance of intensive development of Russian-German cooperation.
The JSC “ISS” was represented in Berlin as a parent enterprise of a large-scale integrated structure, which includes 9 companies-partners.
At the stand of the JSC “ISS” the models of “Glonass-M” spacecraft and “Glonass-K” S/C of new generation on the basis of non-hermetic platform were demonstrated. At present, the specialists of the JSC “ISS” are developing “Glonass-K” spacecraft. Besides, the models of “Express-AM44” powerful telecommunication satellite and “Loutch-5” perspective satellite-transponder that are developed jointly with European partner Thales Alenia Space were represented. During the exhibition, the delegation headed by the General Designer and General Director, held more than 50 meetings and talks.
Nikolay Testoyedov also took part in the First European Air-transport Congress and made a speech at the Conference on Logistics. “Every exhibition, trip, meeting – is a definite step, which perhaps not always visible, but always important”, - said the leader of the JSC “ISS”.
