Joint-Stock Company “Academician M.F. Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems”
The Federal state unitary enterprise “Academician M.F. Reshetnev research and development association of applied mechanics” (NPO PM) was reorganized into the joint-stock company “Academician M.F. Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems” (JSC “ISS - Reshetnev Company”)
The “ISS-Reshetnev Company” underwent the State Registration on 3rd of March 2008. The company was established by transforming the FSUE “Academician M.F. Reshetnev research and development association of applied mechanics” (NPO PM) into a joint-stock company. According to Nickolay Testoedov, the general designer and general director of the new company, such a transformation is the first step to the vertically integrated structure of the Russian space industry, which will later consolidate 9 more companies. He remarked, “This consolidation is aimed at preserving the space issue priority for all companies which are to enter the integrated Corporation. Integration processes will be accomplished within this year and the number of employees will be enlarged up to 12 thousand people”.
The new company will assign all NPO PM obligations and transfer 100% shares to the Federal possession.
During the meeting held on 3rd of March Nickolay Testoedov congratulated everyone on formation of the “ISS – Reshetnev Company” and presented a number of collaborators with State and region awards.
The JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems” formed on the basis of FSUE “NPO PM” is a milestone in the history of the leading Russian space company creating satellite systems and complexes. The main activities for the “ISS – Reshetnev Company” as well as for NPO PM are still multimission spacecraft development and creation.
