Express-AMU7 assembly completed
ISS-Reshetnev Company has completed assembly on the Express-AMU7 telecommunications satellite.
During the assembly the satellite’s bus which includes all necessary life support subsystems and its payload which includes mission critical communications equipment were mated.
The next step will be electrical testing of the Express-AMU7 satellite.
Express-AMU7 is being built by ISS-Reshetnev Company around its Express-1000 bus and will be equipped with communications payload supplied by the European manufacturer Thales Alenia Space.
When in orbit, the Express-AMU7 satellite will provide communications, television and radio broadcasting services covering the territory of Russia and neighboring countries. The satellite is being built by ISS-Reshetnev Company for the national fleet operator Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC).
