TELKOM-3’s integration under way
ISS-Reshetnev has commenced integrating the service module and the payload module of the TELKOM-3 satellite being manufactured for the Indonesian satellite operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk.
The integration is due for completion by the end of April, after which ISS-Reshetnev will start electrical testing of the spacecraft. Within the scope of the TELKOM-3 project the Reshetnev Company is responsible for the manufacture of the spacecraft service module, PLM structure and the ground control segment. The company will also provide training services and satellite in-orbit support. Besides, for the first time ever in the history of the enterprise, ISS-Reshetnev has organized internship training for the customer’s representatives at its headquarters in Zheleznogorsk, Siberia.
The satellite is based on ISS-Reshetnev’s advanced Express-1000H satellite platform. It will carry 32 C-band transponders and 10 Ku-band transponders. The satellite mass will be 1600 kg, payload power – 5.6 kW, lifetime – 15 years. The payload module has been supplied by Thales Alenia Space.
