Glonass-K is Russia’s first navigation satellite of unpressurized design with an operational lifetime of 10 years. The prime contactor is ISS-Reshetnev. The project is being carried out within the scope of the federal target program Global Navigation System. With the launch of this next-generation satellite Russia plans to start upgrading its fleet of navigation satellites.
