One more Glonass-М delivered to Baikonur
Glonass-M №40 manufactured by Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems was successfully delivered to the Baikonur cosmodrome
The spacecraft will be launched in orbit in cluster №43, together with two other Glonass-M satellites. The first of the three spacecraft was delivered to Baikonur on November 1, 2010. The delivery of the third satellite is scheduled for mid November.
Glonass-M №40 pre-launch preparations will start as soon as the satellite is placed into the integration and checkout facility.

Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems is the prime contractor for the development of the GLONASS space-based navigation complex and is Russia’s only designer and manufacturer of navigation spacecraft. Apart from modernized Glonass-M satellites, the company is also creating the next-generation Glonass-K spacecraft designed to have improved technical characteristics and increased lifetimes.
