Occupational standards for the space industry
Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company is completing work on updating one of the occupational standards.
ISS-Reshetnev Company has updated an occupational standard “Designer and developer of spacecraft and spacecraft systems” which was introduced by ISS-Reshetnev in 2013. Experts of more than a dozen of Russia’s aerospace companies and organizations took part in the revision and correction of this occupational standard.
To mark the completion of this work, ISS-Reshetnev organized an interregional roundtable session providing a platform for discussing the updated standard. The meeting was attended by more than 70 professionals representing companies of the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation, federal and local governments.
Following the results of the roundtable, the occupational standard “Designer and developer of spacecraft and spacecraft systems” received professional approval and will be later submitted to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Russian Federation.
ISS-Reshetnev Company has developed a total of seven occupational standards intended for the most in-demand professions in the aerospace industry: developer of special coatings and their production technologies using the method of deposition in vacuum (for spacecraft outer surfaces); designer of spacecraft antenna and feeder devices; specialists of spacecraft onboard control complex electronics; spacecraft onboard instruments developer; unmanned spacecraft assembly fitter; spacecraft ground control systems designer and developer; designer and developer of spacecraft and spacecraft systems.
