Reshetnev Readings Conference – 2015
ISS-Reshetnev specialists will take part in the XIX International Scientific Conference Reshetnev Readings – 2015 which is arranged to coincide with the 91st anniversary of the birth of the company’s founder and first director – academician Mikhail Reshetnev.
The Scientific Conference Reshetnev Readings will take place November 10-13. This year’s edition of the conference is dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Siberian State Aerospace University (SibSAU) where Mikhail Reshetnev had been teaching for many years. By tradition, the main part of the conference events will be hosted by SibSAU while one of its sessions connected with satellites’ large-sized foldable mechanical structures will be organized at ISS-Reshetnev Company’s facilities.
The conference program is divided into 24 scientific sessions and covers key aspects of building aircraft and satellites, including their development, design, manufacture, experimental testing, the use of new materials and technologies as well as the matters of production management and engineering education.
More than 550 papers and reports are expected to be presented at the conference by aerospace industry representatives from Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic and Japan.
The Scientific Conference Reshetnev Readings has been held by the Siberian State Aerospace University since 1997 in commemoration of an outstanding satellite system designer, Doctor of Technical Sciences, academician Mikhail Reshetnev.
Initially intended as a platform for researchers, SibSAU students, ISS-Reshetnev specialists and other experts to exchange and share ideas in the field of rocket and space technology, today the conference Reshetnev Readings has a more diverse participant list and audience, bringing together more and more representatives of aerospace companies and academia from Russia and abroad.
In 2005 the conference received international status.
