JSC Academician M.F. ReshetnevInformation Satellite Systems

Successful operation of Yubileiny SC

Yubileiny small spacecraft, developed at the JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev” Information Satellite Systems” is successfully operating in orbit.

Satellite control is fulfilled by MCC of Aerospace Vehicle Laboratory. Similar MCC was established at Siberian State Aerospace University named after academician M.F. Reshetnev (SSAU) soon after launching. Students and research assistants constantly get and analyze telemetry from the satellite jointly with the specialists of the JSC “ISS”. During operation of Yubileiny SC, MCCs got a great scientific information content, which will be used by the project participants at the developing perspective spacecraft and accessory devices.

In 2009 the JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev” Information Satellite Systems” celebrates its 50th anniversary. It is planned that in the occasion of that memorable date the information about the enterprise will be broadcasted via the small spacecraft.

Yubileiny experimental spacecraft was injected into low circular orbit on 23rd of May, 2008. the satellite was manufactured by the JDC “ISS” (Zheleznogorsk) jointly with Aerospace Vehicle Laboratory (Kaluga), JSC “Research & Production Enterprise “Geofizika-Cosmos” (Moscow), JSC “Saturn” (Krasnodar), Lavochkin NPO (Moscow), Khrunichev State Cosmic Research and Production Center (Moscow), SSEU (Krasnoyarsk). At present, with the help of the small spacecraft new satellite systems and devices are being tested. Radio amateurs got a possibility to receive information about the history of space exploration and national cosmonautics.

The data on Yubileiny spacecraft flight are constantly updated at SSAU site (http://sat.sibsau.ru).
