NPO PM celebrates the Russian Science Day

On , the Reshetnev association of applied mechanics held the function dedicated to the Russian science day.

The company employees, research workers, professors, authority, university and scientific organization representatives visited the meeting. On behalf of NPO PM direction general designer and general director Nickolay Testoedov congratulated the guests on the festal event and later awarded the chief specialist Valentin Rayevsky with the State Prize signifying his great contribution into development and serial production of the autonomous passive and combined attitude control and determination system designed for small satellites of military and civil usage. Head of the applied mechanics association (NPO PM) spoke of research work carried out in the company and of the young scientists training program aimed at augmenting company’s scientific potential.

Not once they also spoke of the NPO PM founder Mikhail Reshetnev. He was an outstanding scientist who worked in the sphere of space technique development and who created a great foundation for the company scientific base development. The traditions invented half a century ago are still alive with new followers of Reshetnev coming to the company. Among other specialists there are 34 candidates and 9 doctors of science working at NPO PM today. There are 33 full-time postgraduate and 23 extra-mural postgraduate students, 1 person is a doctorate student. Three major departments of the Siberian State Aerospace University (SSAU), three department branches of SSAU and SFU (Siberian Federal University) and two departments of these two universities were opened at NPO PM. Today more than 50 NPO PM specialists work at these departments.
