ISS-Reshetnev Company to take part in the remote Earth sensing conference
Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company is going to participate in the IV International conference on Regional Aspects of Remote Earth Sensing which will take place in Krasnoyarsk on September 12-15.
ISS-Reshetnev specialists will report on the work of the Siberian Regional Remote Earth Sensing Center which was established at the company’s facilities in 2015. As part of the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation’s structure, the center closely cooperates with the Moscow-based Scientific Center for Earth Operational Monitoring and makes satellite data available to regional institutions, entities, etc.
The conference will bring together space industry professionals, representatives of educational and research institutions both of Russian and foreign origin, including Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The event is aimed at discussing the processes of building and operating remote Earth sensing systems as well as the way information gathered by these satellites is applied in various economic domains.
The IV International conference on Regional Aspects of Remote Earth Sensing is held by the Siberian Federal University jointly with the Russian Foundation of Fundamental Research and the Krasnoyarsk region’s government.
The Siberian Regional Earth Sensing Center was established at ISS-Reshetnev to make satellite data more easily and quickly available and applicable to nature monitoring, land survey, industrial facilities monitoring and control, disaster management and emergency relief operations. The center receives information from nine remote Earth sensing satellites – Russian and foreign ones.
