ISS-Reshetnev’s new precision mechanics solutions
Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company has developed new technologies for the production and testing of electromechanical devices used in advanced satellites and other space technology products.
The new technologies introduced were developed by the company for the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation. Next-generation electromechanical devices can be implemented onboard satellites having an active lifespan of at least 15 years.
Within the framework of the project ISS-Reshetnev Company developed production technologies of an electric pump unit, electromechanical module and linear drive for next-generation advanced satellites. Working on these technologies, the company considerably improved characteristics and performance of its previous solutions in this field.
The electromechanical module and its stepper motors and wave gear drives proved to be a qualitatively new solution. Positive results achieved from the project are currently applied in one of ISS-Reshetnev’s satellites. It is also planned that some elements of the linear drive will be used in the Millimetron space observatory.
The new devices, technologies and test procedures obtained by the company can be applied not only in ISS-Reshetnev’s satellites but in other space companies’ products as well.
