Professional holiday at ISS-Reshetnev
Special events took place at Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company on the occasion of the Cosmonautics Day.
The company’s top management team and representatives of Zheleznogorsk administration laid flowers to Sergey Korolev and Mikhail Reshetnev monuments located in the town.
April 12 was marked by a meeting at the Palace of Culture to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the first human flight into space. The event was attended by Victor Tolokonskiy, governor of the Krasnoyarsk region, Russian cosmonauts Alexander Lazutkin and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and other special guests who arrived to congratulate ISS-Reshetnev employees with their professional holiday.
ISS-Reshetnev’s distinguished employees were awarded state prizes. According to the edict of the President of the Russian Federation the following experts were given awards: Leonid Mikhnev and Sergey Roschupkin were awarded second-class medals of the Order of Merit for the Motherland while Alexand Lemeshkov, Gennadiy Smetanin and Sergey Kananykhin received medals of Merit in space exploration. As well as that, three ISS-Reshetnev employees were awarded titles “Honoured engineering worker”, “Honoured designer of the Russian Federation” and “Honoured worker of the aerospace industry of the Russian Federation”.
At the meeting a number of ISS-Reshetnev employees also received Tsoilkovskiy medals, certificates of commemoration of the Federal Space Agency, prizes of the governor and the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk region as recognition of their achievements and excellent results.
The Cosmonautics Federation also awarded prizes – it gave medals “Young Gagarin” to four school students who had taken an active part in various educational projects in connection with ISS-Reshetnev Company.
