ISS-Reshetnev to take part in remote Earth sensing conference
Information Satellite systems – Reshetnev Company is going to participate in the III International conference on Regional Aspects of Remote Earth Sensing which will take place in Krasnoyarsk on September 13-16.
Organized by the Siberian Federal University jointly with the Russian Foundation of Fundamental Research, the International conference on Regional Aspects of Remote Earth Sensing is expected to bring together more than 100 participants from Russia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. The conference is aimed at discussing the processes of building and operating remote Earth sensing systems as well as the way information gathered by these satellites is applied in various economic domains.
ISS-Reshetnev Company will present a paper covering Characteristics of ground receiving equipment of ROSCOSMOS’ Siberian Regional Remote Earth Sensing Center. Making a report at the conference’s section called “Regional remote sensing systems of today and tomorrow” ISS-Reshetnev’s experts will speak about the regional center’s (which is part of ISS-Reshetnev Company) comprehensive capabilities in gathering and processing satellite data.
The Siberian Regional Earth Sensing Center was established in 2015 to make satellite data more easily and quickly available and applicable to nature monitoring, land survey, industrial facilities monitoring and control, disaster management and emergency relief operations. To be able to receive and process satellite data, the Siberian Regional Earth Remote Sensing Center includes four antenna complexes and is fitted with all the necessary hardware and software. The center receives information from remote Earth sensing satellites, including Kanopous-V, Meteor-M, Resurs-P, Resurs-DK, BelKA, Terra, Aqua, NOAA, Suomi NPP and ISS-Reshetnev’s data relay satellite Loutch-5V.
