The Reshetnev Readings conference opens in Krasnoyarsk
The 22nd International Scientific Conference Reshetnev Readings 2018 powered by ISS-Reshetnev Company kicked off in Krasnoyarsk on November 12.
The conference was opened with a plenary session and welcoming to all attendees delivered by representatives of Russia’s Ministry of Education and Science, the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation, key figures from industrial companies and research institutions, as well as delegates from China and Kazakhstan.
ISS-Reshetnev Company specialists presented two scientific reports at the plenary session. Vladimir Khalimanovich, Director of ISS-Reshetnev’s Industrial Center for Large-Sized Foldable Mechanical Structures, gave a talk on the modern advanced technologies in spacecraft production. Yuriy Maximov, Deputy general director for quality, made a report on high-assurance hardware components used in long-mission spacecraft.
The 22nd International Scientific Conference Reshetnev Readings 2018 will run till November 16. It is expected that more than 550 presentations, including 60 papers prepared by ISS-Reshetnev specialists, will be made at 30 sessions within the framework of the conference.
First introduced in 1997, the annual Scientific Conference Reshetnev Readings is held by the Siberian State University of Science and Technology in commemoration of an outstanding satellite system designer, Doctor of Technical Sciences, founder and first director of ISS-Reshetnev Company, academician Mikhail Reshetnev. In 2005 the conference received its international status.
