AMOS-5: progress of work
ISS-Reshetnev is hard at work on the AMOS-5 telecommunications satellite being built for the Israeli satellite operator SPACE-COMMUNICATION LTD.
On January 11-12, 2011 ISS-Reshetnev hosted a series of meetings with the customer’s representatives. The agenda included a range of questions concerning the AMOS-5 program, in particular, progress of work, delivery dates of the remaining on-board equipment, test campaign and launch dates, and issues regarding the ground control segment.
During the visit, the Israeli guests were shown over ISS-Reshetnev’s manufacturing facility to assess the progress of work on the AMOS-5 satellite.
The AMOS-5 telecommunications spacecraft is being built in accordance with the approved schedule. At the next stage the satellite will be subjected to a series of environmental tests planned for the nearest future.
