ISS-Reshetnev at a conference on space geodesy
Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company is co-organizing and providing financial backing for a science and technical conference on space geodesy “Navigation using the Earth’s gravitational field and its metrological support”.
Being held on February 14-15, 2017 in the Moscow region, the science and technical conference “Navigation using the Earth’s gravitational field and its metrological support” is focusing on the development and production of high precision measuring instruments for the future advanced geodetic satellites. The conference is attended by Russia’s leading experts in the field of navigation, geodesy and metrology; representatives of research institutes, companies and organizations specializing in the development of satellite onboard measurement instruments.
The plenary session of the conference started with the welcome speech by Victor Kosenko, deputy general director – first deputy general designer of ISS-Reshetnev Company, general designer of space geodetic systems.
ISS-Reshetnev Company specialists are also going to take part in the conference. They will attend those conference sessions dealing with the development of new measuring instruments, including high precision altimeter, satellite gravity gradiometer, intersatellite measuring instruments. All these new instruments could find their way into ISS-Reshetnev’s next-generation geodetic system based on Geo-IK-3 satellites, the development of which is currently well underway at the company.
