ISS-Reshetnev takes larger role in satellite payloads
Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company is currently setting up production of a new type of antennas intended for application in space‑based systems.
ISS-Reshetnev goes ahead with designing digital active phased array antennas, including their parts such as low‑noise amplifiers, solid state power amplifiers and digital signal processing units. It's planned that these new products will be manufactured and ground-tested here, at ISS‑Reshetnev facilities.
Digital active phased array antennas constitute a part of satellite payloads. When used in satellites, they enable dynamic changing of antenna patterns and also help increase pointing speed and the number of beams available for transmitting signals from communications satellites in orbit. All these advantages are expected to considerably improve performance characteristics of satellites yet to be built.
By setting up production of new types of antenna products ISS‑Reshetnev Company takes another step to increasing its role in satellite payloads.
