With a view to import substitution
Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company has kicked off special training courses as part of the industry-wide professional development program for engineers and technicians.
A one-week course of lectures on the modern approaches to the organization of wireless access systems will be attended by 15 ISS-Reshetnev employees. The training will be provided by specialists from the Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR).
The professional development program was initiated by ISS-Reshetnev’s department of satellite onboard control equipment design and testing. Today at this department a new work station is being established which is dedicated to the design and manufacture of telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C) systems. It is expected to enable the company to stop using imported counterparts and start their in-house production.
The program includes both theory and practice. When the theoretical part is over, three most successful ISS-Reshetnev employees will go to TUSUR to undertake practical training. As well as that, two engineers will be trained abroad – at the Keysight Technologies Company in Böblingen (Germany).
