JSC “ISS” at Le Bourget 2009
The grand opening of the 48th International Paris Air Show, Le Bourget 2009, took place on One of the exhibitors is the JSC “Academician M.F.Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems”.
The JSC “ISS” is exhibiting its models at the Paris Air Show jointly with the Russian Federal Space Agency’s integrated exposition. The company’s delegation is headed by Nikolai Testoedov, the general designer and director general.
The JSC “ISS” is presenting its latest achievements and advanced projects in the sphere of satellite-building. At the company’s exhibition stand Le Bourget 2009 visitors and guests can see models of the ISS’s advanced spacecraft: the Glonass-M navigation satellite, the Express –AM44 telecommunications satellite and Gonets-M low-earth communications satellite. Besides, at Le Bourget the ISS is exhibiting its new platforms, Express-1000, Express-2000 and Express-4000. These platforms have already demonstrated their competitive power on the Russian and international markets. The first in the line, Express-1000, is currently being used for the manufacture of the AMOS 5 satellite for the Israeli satellite communications service provider SPACE-COMMUNICATION, Ltd. and the TELKOM 3 satellite ordered by the Indonesian operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. The next-generation Express –AM5 and Express –AM6 telecommunications satellites will be built on the Express -4000 platform to replenish the Russian orbital constellation.
The Reshetnev Company is a regular exhibitor at the Paris Air Show alongside with other world’s leading space enterprises. This year the world’s largest air show will celebrate its 100th anniversary. This year is also an anniversary year for the JSC “ISS”. In early June the company celebrated its 50th anniversary.
