ISS-Reshetnev’s new capabilities for launcher telemetry data acquisition
during the launch of three Glonass-M satellites the JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems” first received and processed telemetry data from the Proton-M launcher.
The deployment of the Central Command and Tracking Station in Krasnoyarsk-26 (Siberia) has enabled the ISS-Reshetnev Company to receive and process telemetry data from launch vehicles. The new CCTS was commissioned on the eve of the launch of the Glonass satellites, on December 12, as part of the Integrated State Ground Control Complex.
The CCTS “Krasnoyarsk-26” will include 10 multi-channel telemetry receiving stations to allow ISS specialists to receive telemetry data not only from satellites but also from launchers, upper stage rockets and even the International Space Station. The new capabilities will enable ISS-Reshetnev to serve the entire spectrum of customers, both government and commercial.
According to Vladimir Kovalev, the ISS chief designer, the new CCTS represents a considerable milestone, for until now the company was able to receive only satellite telemetry information. The new capabilities will allow the company to broaden the scope of its activity in the sphere of space vehicle control and exploitation. Besides, the new CCTS will require creating 50 new jobs.
