ISS-Reshetnev Company presented three innovative solutions at the VII annual national exhibition VUZPROMEXPO-2020.
The exhibition-forum VUZPROMEXPO, organized under the patronage of the Government of the Russian Federation, is an effective platform for the demonstration of newest technologies and products. ISS-Reshetnev participated in the event remotely and provided a short video about the results of its scientific projects.
One of them is a ground station used for satellite communications in hard-to-reach northern and Arctic territories. It operates in the Ka/Q frequency bands and can work under extreme climatic conditions.
The second project is a ground-based carbon fiber reflector with a diameter of 11 meters intended for high-frequency operation. Compared to counterparts made of other materials, it can boast better strength and accuracy characteristics, and lower weight.
And the third project that ISS-Reshetnev Company presented at VUZPROMEXPO is a high-power electric pump unit used in satellite thermal control subsystems.
Supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, these projects are being implemented under the Government Decree № 218. With ISS-Reshetnev Company taking the leading role, the projects also involve the Siberian Federal University, the Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology, the Baltic State Technological University VOENMEH, as well as scientific organizations of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
