Gonets satellites delivered to launch site
Three Gonets-M personal communications satellites, designed and built by ISS-Reshetnev Company, has arrived at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome.
It will be the first ride of Gonets-M satellites on a Soyuz-2 rocket with a Fregat upper stage. ISS-Reshetnev Company has designed and manufactured a new adapter connecting satellites to the launch vehicle. It has been delivered to the Plesetsk Cosmodrome together with the satellites.
Preparations for launch are now underway at the cosmodrome – Gonets-M satellites will undergone a series of tests, then will be grouped together and mated with the rocket.
Three Gonets-M satellites are due to launch later this fall. They will augment the orbital constellation of the GONETS-D1M Multifunctional personal satellite communications system.
