Skills competition at ISS-Reshetnev Company
On September 18, 2017 a professional skills competition kicked off at Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company. The event is arranged to coincide with the Engineering Workers Day.
The skills competition is held at ISS-Reshetnev Company every year in accordance with standards and schedules specified by the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation. This year’s edition of the competition will run from September 18 through September 30. More than 100 specialists will compete and demonstrate their abilities in engineering and working competencies in three age groups: under 26, under 34, 35 years and above.
The first to enter the competition were representatives of the “Prototyping” category followed by “Engineering graphics CAD”, “Lathe work on CNC machines”, “Milling work on CNC machines”, “Welding technology” and “Electronics”. Specialists representing “Milling work (general)”, “Lathe work (general)”, “Lathe and Borer”, “Machine fitter (bench work of parts)” categories will show their skills excellence during the last day of the competition.
Winners of the competition will be announced and awarded prizes on September 30. Winners in age categories “under 26” and “under 34” will be given a right to represent ISS-Reshetnev Company in industry-wide competitions based on WorldSkills standards, including the Corporate Championship of the Rocket and Space Industry “Young professionals of ROSCOSMOS-2018”.
