Russian Science Day at ISS-Reshetnev Company

ISS-Reshetnev Company held a special broadened meeting of the Science and Technical Council on the occasion of Russian Science Day.

The meeting which was aimed at the discussion of the role and importance of science in today’s satellite building industry, was chaired by Nikolay Testoyedov, general director of ISS-Reshetnev Company, honored scientists, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. “We are not connected with science – we are an integral part of it, an application-oriented and engineering one. We lay where fundamental science and specific production tasks meet. Our research and development work poses absolutely new challenges for the Russian Academy of Sciences and for many other industry research centers as well. Nikolay Testoyedov also reminded that ISS-Reshetnev Company has long been leading the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation in the number of employees undertaking post graduate study and still holds its positions.

At the meeting of the Science and Technical Council a series of presentations were made by Josef Gitelson, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and ISS-Reshetnev specialists who spoke on new advances in satellite design and production technologies. A number of reports were also delivered by the Council presidium and invited speakers. “ISS-Reshetnev Company is a flagship of science and research in the Krasnoyarsk region. And not only in our region, but on a national scale as well. Our university values these ling-standing relations with ISS-Reshetnev Company and is sure that they will go on”, said Edkham Akbulatov, acting president of the Siberian State University of Science and Technologies, addressing the participants of the Council meeting.

Within the framework of the meeting ISS-Reshetnev employees who had earned prestigious prizes in the field of science and technologies received their awards. Seven ISS-Reshetnev specialists got Presidential Scholarships, 29 employees were announced winners of the annual pan-Russian contest “Engineer of the Year 2018”, three more people – in the youth contest “Hopes of Russia 2018”.
