Special Council meeting at ISS-Reshetnev
On June 19, 2018 ISS-Reshetnev Company is hosting a visiting session of the Special Council of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Representatives of ISS-Reshetnev Company, Presidium of the RAS Siberian Branch and the technology platform “National Information Satellite System” gathered together to discuss how the government can support hi-tech companies and academic institutions in their research and innovative activities.
One of the key topics of the meeting also addresses advance research projects that can be carried out by scientists and Russian space companies (which are part of the NISS technology platform) and be used by ISS-Reshetnev Company in its satellite programs.
At the Special Council meeting at ISS-Reshetnev companies representing the NISS technology platform are presenting their best practices of cooperation with military and civilian enterprises, universities and institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The technology platform “National Information Satellite System” is a private-public partnership which helps bring together the government, business, industry and academia joining their efforts to support innovative development and modernization of Russia’s economy. The platform unites 118 leading industrial companies and research organizations working together to build and use advanced space-based systems and complexes, as well as to increase Russia’s presence in the global satellite communications market. The NISS technology platform is led by its president – general director of ISS-Reshetnev Company, doctor of engineering, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Nikolay Testoyedov.
