Express-AMU7 readies for repeater installation
ISS-Reshetnev Company has completed building and already sent to its European partner – Thales Alenia Space – a payload module structure for the Express-AMU7 satellite.
Built by ISS-Reshetnev, the Express-AMU7 payload module structure will be equipped with the repeater equipment at the Italian division of Thales Alenia Space. This equipment will enable the satellite to provide telecommunications services in C-, Ku- and L- frequency bands.
The payload module with the repeater equipment installed on it will fly back to ISS-Reshetnev facilities to be further integrated with the subsystems module – the satellite’s platform (bus). ISS-Reshetnev Company is building Express-AMU7 around its Express-1000 satellite platform.
The telecommunications satellite Express-AMU7 is designed to provide a comprehensive range of communications, television and radiobroadcasting services to users in Russia and foreign countries.
