Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum-2016: ISS-Reshetnev’s results
Representatives of Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company have taken part in the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum “Russia: the 2030 strategy” to discuss development prospects of the region and the whole country.
At the forum which was held with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, ISS-Reshetnev delegates participated in a number of discussion platforms, including the key event of the forum – the plenary session “The 2030 strategy. Vision of Russia’s future”. Nikolay Testoyedov, director general of the company, took part in discussions concerning the technological development of Russia in the coming decades. The working group led by Arkady Dvorkovich, Vice-Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, included representatives of federal and regional authorities, leading Russian and foreign companies, scientists and experts.
Yury Vilkov, deputy designer general – deputy director general for development and innovations at ISS-Reshetnev, presented a report at a roundtable session “New horizons. Developing the Arctic region” speaking about the prospects satellite communications and internet services provided by the Gonets-D1M satellite system (based on satellites constructed by ISS-Reshetnev Company) have in north latitudes.
Summarizing the results of the discussion sessions, the forum participants identified the following technologies as the most advanced and promising ones: the development of lightweight satellites, navigation systems, as well as those technologies that help increase throughput capabilities of satellites.
At its stand which was part of a joint exposition “Innovative system of the Krasnoyarsk region” ISS-Reshetnev Company showcased models of its latest communications and navigation satellites. ISS-Reshetnev’s stand was attended by a large number of authorities, including Nikolay Rogozhkin, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District. He was brought up to date on ISS-Reshetnev’s recent and currently ongoing satellite construction projects and technological development.
The XIII Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum was held during February 18-20. It brought together more than 6 500 participants from 26 different countries and 60 regions across Russia. The forum is one of the most attended events in Russia focusing on the strategic development of regions and the whole country.
