Next Express satellites delivered to launch site
ISS-Reshetnev Company has finished the project of building two telecommunications satellites for Russia’s orbital fleet.
Express-80 and Express-103 satellites, designed and built by ISS-Reshetnev Company, arrived at the Baikonur cosmodrome to begin launch preparations. A joint team of ISS-Reshetnev experts and representatives of the cosmodrome will run a series of tests on the satellites and integrate them with the rocket.
The two satellites are based on ISS-Reshetnev’s medium-class Express-1000HM platform and will be sent to orbit together aboard one launch vehicle. Their launch is planned for this March.
Express-80 and Express-103 satellites are designed to provide reliable fixed and mobile communications, digital TV and radio broadcasting, high-speed internet access and data communications services in the territory of Russia and the CIS countries.
