ISS-Reshetnev’s machine fitters passed occupational standards exam
Several employees of ISS-Reshetnev’s assembly department have successfully passed an occupational standards exam for a qualification “Machine fitter assembling automated spacecraft parts and units”.
Five machine fitters of ISS-Reshetnev Company took part in the first occupational standards exam organized by the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation for professionals working in the aerospace industry.
As part of the exam the participants took a space technology theory test and some practical exercises which included mounting model of a satellite thruster on a solar array fragment.
Technical supervision and assessment at the exam was provided by leading experts and assembly specialists of the Reshetnev Company and Krasmash (Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant).
Having successfully passed the exam, ISS-Reshetnev machine fitters are now first to receive occupational standards qualification certificates in the Russian aerospace industry.
The exam was held at KRITBI – Krasnoyarsk Regional Innovation and Technology Business Incubator, where the Assessment Center for the Space Industry-related Qualifications is currently being established.
The Center provides employers with an efficient instrument for assessing qualifications, knowledge and skills of specialists seeking for aerospace technology jobs.
