ISS-Reshetnev to build a satellite for Kazakhstan
Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems and the Kazakhstan Republican Center of Space Communication signed a contract for the KazSat-3 satellite program.
The Kazsat-3 telecommunications spacecraft will be based on ISS-Reshetnev’s Express-1000H satellite platform and have a lifetime of 15 years. The contract was signed at the 49th International Paris Airshow - Le Bourget 2011 in the presence of Vladimir Popovkin, head of the Federal Space Agency, and Talgat Musabayev, chairman of the National Space Center of Kazakhstan.
The payload module for the Kazsat -3 spacecraft will be supplied by the European company Thales Alenia Space. The subcontract was signed on the same day by Nikolay Testoyedov, general designer and director general of the Reshetnev Company, and Reynald Seznec, CEO of Thales Alenia Space.
Space technology products by ISS-Reshetnev comply with international standards, which has been proven true again by the KazSat-3 contract award.
