New facility for antenna feeder devices
Work on the new facility intended for the production of antennas and feeder devices for satellites is well under way at ISS-Reshetnev Company’s site.
The building which is expected to have a total area of more than 19 000 sq. meters, will house both design departments and production areas. The facility is being constructed within the framework of the Federal Target Program “Maintenance, development and utilization of the Global Navigation Satellite System GLONASS for the years 2012-2020”.
As of today, the erection of metal structures is nearing completion. Now the process of mounting wall panels is set to begin. The structure and thermal subsystems of the new building are due to be ready by the end of this year.
The facility will be fitted up with high technology equipment for the production and testing of satellite antennas and feeder devices. It will include workplaces dedicated to thermal and vacuum, vibration and high frequency tests to verify characteristics and reliability of satellite payload components.
ISS-Reshetnev’s new facility for antenna feeder devices is planned to be fully commissioned in 2018.
