Vladimir Putin visited the JSC “ISS”
On an out meeting of the Russian Federation Government took place at the JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev” Information Satellite Systems”. Vladimir Putin was the Head of the meeting. During the visit, the Head of the Cabinet attended the production departments where the modern Russian spacecraft are being developed.
The program of the Russian Federation Government included visiting the satellite production. Vladimir Putin visited the spacecraft and systems assembly department of the JSC “ISS”. Full-scale models of “Glonass-M”, “Glonass-K” navigation satellites, “Yubileiny” small class spacecraft, “Express-AM44” telecommunication satellite as well as airborne and ground satellite antennas were presented to him. The Chairman of the Russian Government was demonstrated the current technologies that are used in the process of spacecraft developing: honeycomb structures, coal-plastic items and gilded net-curtain for manufacturing airborne antennas.
During the meeting the course of implementation the foreground tasks of domestic space activity and expansion of use the capabilities of space facilities in the benefit of the country’s regions economic development was considered. In addition, the results of joint activity of the Federal Space Agency and Krasnoyarsk region Administration on the use of space facilities capabilities for perfection the infrastructure of the region and development the system of scientific manpower and engineers training. With the opening speech Vladimir Putin addressed to the participants of the meeting. The Chairman of the Russian Federation Government highly appreciated the results of the JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev” Information Satellite Systems” work – one of the leading enterprises of space industry. “The impressions are the most positive both from high level of labor management and quality of products, as well as from people I have talked. The “Information satellite Systems” manufactures the space communication facilities, TV and radiobroadcasting, navigation and geodesy. At the expense of the enterprise there are over 1100 spacecraft. Today, more than a half of our constellation was produced at that enterprise”, he noted.
Anatoly Perminov, the Head of the Federal Space Agency, made a report on the course of implementation the key space programs. He told about the current state of the space industry and the tasks that are being considered at present. Alexander Khloponin, the Governor of Krasnoyarsk region, gave a report to the Chairman of the Russian Federation Government on the long-term goal program about the use of space activity results in the benefit of development the largest region of Russia.
