The future of space-based information systems discussed in Paris
On June 21 Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company jointly with the Technology Platform “National Information Satellite System” held the 5th International Research and Practice Conference.
This year’s edition of the conference “Challenges and Long-term Perspectives of Space-based Information Systems” was held within the framework of the International Aviation and Space Salon Paris Airshow 2017. Held in Le Bourget, the suburbs of Paris, the conference which for the first time became international, was organized as part on the Technology Platform’s activities.
The event was attended by representatives of Russian and foreign high-technology companies, research and educational institutions, authorities and business. Key issues at the conference included the development of international cooperation in the field of innovations, satellite systems production, advanced materials and technologies. During roundtable discussions the conference participants exchanged ideas and experience obtained while working on recent projects aimed to make space products’ commercialization more efficient.
The Technology Platform “National Information Satellite System” was initiated and is coordinated by ISS-Reshetnev Company. It represents a platform for communication and professional discussion of innovative projects in the field of building state-of-the-art satellites and their communications, navigation and geodetic services. Its strategic aim is to support the development of breakthrough technologies, improve satellite services and increase Russia’s presence in the global space and communications markets. As of today, the platform embodies more than 100 companies and research institutions from all over Russia.
