Payload module structure for AngoSat-2
ISS-Reshetnev Company shipped a payload module structure of the AngoSat-2 telecommunications satellite to a foreign contractor in Great Britain.
ISS-Reshetnev-built structure was delivered to the European company Airbus where it will be equipped with repeaters in C- and Ku-bands to become a payload module.
The payload module is due to fly back to ISS-Reshetnev facilities in April 2021 to be further mated with the satellite’s platform.
ISS-Reshetnev Company is building the AngoSat-2 telecommunications satellite for the Republic of Angola. Based on ISS-Reshetnev’s medium-class Express-1000H platform, it will have a designed active lifespan of 15 years.
