ISS-Reshetnev completes business integration
The JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems” has integrated its Russian partnerships into a single structure and brand.
The new integrated structure is a corporate body formed from nine Russian enterprises specializing in spacecraft manufacturing. These are the JSC “Scientific and Production Enterprise “Kvant” (Moscow), the JSC “Research & Production Enterprise “Geophisika-Cosmos” (Moscow), the JSC “Scientific and Production Center “Polyus” (Tomsk), the JSC “Siberian Devices and Systems” (Omsk), the JSC “Scientific and Research Enterprise of Space Instrumentation Industry “Kvant” (Rostov-on-Don) and four companies from Zheleznogorsk, the JSC “NPO PM - Razvitie”, the JSC “NPO PM – Small Design Bureau”, the JSC “Technical Test Center – NPO PM “ and the JSC “Sibpromproekt”.
The new integrated company is named for its headquarters, the JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev “Information Satellite Systems” based in Zheleznogorsk (Siberia). The company’s operations focus on the design, manufacture, modernization and maintenance of space-based information and coordinate-measuring systems, complexes and different-purpose spacecraft.
The first meeting of the Board of Directors of the enlarged Information Satellite Systems was held by Anatoly Perminov, head of the Russian Space Agency, in October 2009.
The large-scale integration process was initiated within the ongoing restructuring of the national military-industrial complex so as to optimize the production management system. In 2009 the authorized capital stock of the Reshetnev Company was enlarged through share capital injections of all the integrating enterprises.
With the integration process complete, the Reshetnev Company is now considering possible development schemes and new growth prospects including the strategic expansion of its shareholder base.
