Results of ISS-Reshetnev’s participation at Aviation Expo China 2015
At Aviation Expo China 2015 Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company has held a meeting discussing possible ways of its participation in the project “The Star of Happiness” – a LEO communications satellite system which is yet to be built.
ISS-Reshetnev showcased its recent achievements and diverse capabilities in the field of designing and constructing advanced satellites at the 16th edition of the International aviation and space exhibition Aviation Expo China 2015 during September 16-19.
ISS-Reshetnev’s exhibition stand generated great interest among Chinese specialists and leaders of government agencies as well as people from other countries who attended the event. Among those who came to get acquainted with the company’s technologies and solutions were Zhang Youxia, Director of China People's Liberation Army General Armaments Department, Lin Zuoming, Chairman of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Mohammad Seyedabadi, Deputy General Director of a department at Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization and Hu Zhongmin, General Director of Department of International Cooperation, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation
The negotiations between ISS-Reshetnev and their Chinese colleagues took central place in the company’s business program within the framework of the exhibition. Russian and Chinese specialists discussed the development of a low Earth orbit satellite system called “The Star of Happiness” which is intended to provide wideband communications services. Chinese representatives explained their vision of the project and set forth initial technical specifications.
Following the results of the meeting, the two parties signed an agreement of intent according to which ISS-Reshetnev Company would examine the information and materials provided by the Chinese partners and prepare a system project.
