Express-AMU3 assembly completed
ISS-Reshetnev Company has completed assembly on the Express-AMU3 telecommunications satellite.
During the assembly the satellite’s bus which includes all necessary life support subsystems and its payload which includes mission critical communications equipment have been mated.
The Express-AMU3 satellite’s bus has been designed and built by ISS-Reshetnev Company. Its payload module is a joint effort between ISS-Reshetnev and Thales Alenia Space Italia – the payload structure was made at ISS-Reshetnev and then fitted with communications equipment at TAS-I.
The next step will be electrical testing of the Express-AMU3 satellite.
Express-AMU3 is designed with a 15-year lifespan to provide a wide range of communications, television and radio broadcasting services.
