Reshetnev Readings – 2020
The 24th International Scientific and Practical Conference Reshetnev Readings took place on November 10-13. It was dedicated to the memory of Mikhail Reshetnev, general designer of rocket and space systems, founder of ISS-Reshetnev Company.
The scientific conference covers of wide array of topics relating to space and aviation and every year coincides with the day of Mikhail Reshetnev's birth. November 10, 2020 marked the 96th birth anniversary of Russia's outstanding scientist who made great contribution to the development of communications, navigation and geodetic satellite systems.
Organized by the Siberian State University of Science and Technology jointly with ISS-Reshetnev Company, the conference for the first time in its long history was held online. It opened with a plenary session, which was broadcasted live to all participants of the readings.
In his address to the conference participants Nikolay Testoyedov, general director of ISS-Reshetnev Company, Doctor of Technical Sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences said that "The Scientific and Practical Conference Reshetnev Readings is a recognized event that brings together students and eminent scientists. Over 24 years it has grown from a small event that included only a handful of thematic sessions to an international conference, the importance of which is constantly increasing, and subject areas are expanding. Papers presented to the conference are published in the scientific journal approved by the Supreme Attestation Commission".
This year's edition of Reshetnev Readings included 31 thematic sections and more than 570 people applied for participation. Specialists working at aerospace companies, representatives of universities and scientific institutions submitted their reports and research papers. All of them will be included into the conference proceedings.
