During the opening day of the show ISS-Reshetnev delegation has held a number of business meetings with its customers and suppliers represented by European, Chinese and Russian companies.

Prior to the official start of MAKS-2015, the I Eurasian Aerospace Congress took place in Moscow on August 24. The event was intended to consolidate science, business and government aiming to solve global and applied problems that the Eurasian aerospace industry encounters at its development path. Nikolay Testoyedov, Director General of ISS-Reshetnev Company, was one of the major participants and experts of the forum. He took part in the plenary session and also moderated one of the congress’s conferences dedicated to the commercial use of space technologies.

Congress participants addressed numerous issues such as current trends in both national and global satellite markets, and the profound reform of Russia’s rocket and space industry. Speaking at the congress’s plenary session, Nikolay Testoyedov mentioned that today space programs are no longer national – they are increasingly assuming a more industry-specific shape while the resources they need tend to be limited. Among other things, it is one of the main reasons why the Russian aerospace sector is being subjected to organizational changes – it has to ensure careful and efficient use of these resources.
