ISS-Reshetnev Company leads the way in adopting occupational standards

ISS-Reshetnev Company has been announced the winner of the first Pan Russian Competition on Adopting Occupational Standards.

ISS-Reshetnev Company headed the list of the competition organized by the National Agency of Qualifications Development with support from the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection in the nominated category “Leading industrial company in the adoption of occupational standards”.

ISS-Reshetnev Company’s efforts and activities aimed at the promotion and adoption of occupational standards are recognized as the most consistent ones among all 350 Russian companies taking part in the competition. Skills and knowledge of ISS-Reshetnev’s employees and all other specialists working at companies that are part of ISS-Reshetnev’s integrated corporate structure fully meet the required occupational standards. Additionally, the ISS-Reshetnev Company uses these standards to define and describe the range of skills, knowledge and competence its employees should possess to be able to complete performance appraisals.

Eight out of 55 special occupational standards of the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation have been developed by ISS-Reshetnev Company. These are standards for the professions that are in high demand today, including a developer and designer of spacecraft and spacecraft systems, assembly fitter of automated spacecraft, electronic equipment assembling fitter and others.

ISS-Reshetnev Company also supported the opening of the first Russian Center for Qualification Assessment in the Rocket and Space Industry. Specialized departments at the Siberian State University of Science and Technology and Siberian Federal University (implementing joint educational and research programs with ISS-Reshetnev Company) were among the first to have obtained accreditation at the new center.

ISS-Reshetnev employees also take an active part in the assessment and review of other educational and occupational standards developed for the rocket and space industry.
