SODERN delegates visit ISS-Reshetnev
On January 26-27, 2017 Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company hosted a meeting with SODERN, a French supplier of attitude sensors.
ISS-Reshetnev and SODERN representatives met to discuss the delivery of SED-26 star trackers for ISS-Reshetnev’s new commercial telecommunications satellites. For one of them – the Express-80 spacecraft – SODERN has already delivered the necessary sensors, as for the second – Express-103 – star sensors for this spacecraft are due to be supplied in 2018. At the meeting SODERN specialists also presented the company’s new solutions for space instrumentation: optical and satellite attitude control equipment.
As a result of the two-day meeting that took place at the company, ISS-Reshetnev and SODERN sketched out a plan for maintaining cooperation on future satellite construction projects.
ISS-Reshetnev Company for more than 20 years to date has been purchasing space instrumentation from SODERN – world’s leading provider of attitude sensors. Cooperation between ISS-Reshetnev and SODERN traces its roots back to the SESAT project – a spacecraft that was built by ISS-Reshetnev for the European satellite operator Eutelsat.
