Russian Federation Government Prize
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin awarded the RF Government Prize – 2020 in the field of Science and Technology to Nikolay Testoyedov, general director of ISS-Reshetnev Company.
Nikolay Testoyedov won the RF Government Prize for the development and formation of Russia’s national satellite fleet enabling the spread of digital telecommunications services all around the country. The award ceremony took place in Moscow, November 24.
Speaking to those present at the event, Mikhail Mishustin stressed the increased importance and support the Government provided to the development of science in Russia. “Today we see outstanding service and brilliant results of work done by large research groups. They have been extending many years at these unique research and development projects. Building on the heritage and traditions laid by their predecessors, they are opening up the future for us, bringing new technologies that could change the world. The award-winning projects clearly demonstrate how powerful the capabilities of the Russian science are. And I stress it once more – support and development of science is our top priority”, he said.
Apart from Nikolay Testoyedov, the RF Government Prize – 2020 in the field of Science and Technology was awarded to six ISS-Reshetnev employees for their contribution to the development of the telecommunications constellation based on Express satellites.
